The Get Lyrics functionality attempts to extract lyrics from Happi.dev.
In order to retrieve lyrics you must have a personal API key. At this point you can get a Happi.dev API key by registering at Happi.dev, entering your email address and selecting Let's Go. Once your registration email address has been validated, you will receive an API key. Once you have the API key, paste it into the Happi.dev API Key field on the Preferences-Lyrics panel.
The Happi.dev API allows for 8k free credits. One credit is one API call. It takes two API calls to download a single lyrics item. You can purchase additional credits at Happi.dev. The Preferences-Lyrics panel displays your remaining free and purchased credit counts. purchased credits do not expire.
Remember that most lyrics are protected under copyright laws. The extracted lyrics are for your personal use. We have no association with Happi.dev, nor do we receive anything if you choose to purchase credits.
We have purchased credits as a shared pool on happi.dev. You can access this shared pool by entering free for the happi.dev API Key on the Preferences-Lyrics panel. These credits are a shared resource and at some point they will disappear.
